Mama Kin returns to Woodford Folk Festival.Woodford Folk Festival is a 6 day and night annual community arts and cultural event held at Woodfordia on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. The internationally recognised festival presents more than 2000 performers each year and features: comedy, street theatre, visual arts, performance art, blues ‘n’ roots, cabaret, folklines, first nations, environmental, circus, traditional folk, film, spoken word, folk medicine, dance and concerts.

People get ready…’cos the Mama is coming!

It’s time once again to hit the road with Michael and George for a wild ride of headline shows and festival fun.

We’ve just come back to earth after One Movement in Perth where we collaborated with Raghu Dixit and his band of merry men. We wrote a new song called ‘Walk In My Shoes’ and busted out a new Bollywood stylin’ version of Beat and Holler. Too much fun!

We had a great response to our festival gig and now we can’t wait to get out and play our special headline set for you all. Tickets are rolling out the door, so if you haven’t snapped yours up yet, don’t delay.

Mama Kin Beat and Holler Tour kicks off!

It’s tour time! Can’t wait to get back on the road with George Michael (NOT of the Wham! Variety) and bring to you a full set of favourites.

We kick off with a special show at Perth’s One Movement Music Festival THIS Friday. It’s a great line-up of twilighters including Sarah McLachlan, Paul Kelly and Kate Miller-Heidke. We’re in the Big Top at 8.05pm. Come on down westsiders.

Really looking forward to our songwriting blind date with Raghu Dixit for One Movement too. Hilariously it’s now not such a blind date as we bumped into each other at Perth Airport as he was arriving from India and I was returning from Broome – a fortuitous meeting and good omens for a collaboration I reckon!

Then it’s off to Adelaide for a show with Xavier Rudd (just announced!) on October 27 at the Thebarton Theatre…

Beating and Hollering to your doors…

Just catching my breath after an absolutely killer run of shows with The Cat Empire. Those guys are sensational! We had so much fun on the road and finished with a roaring party FNQ-style. Amazing.

It has been a wonderfully crazy and amazing month on planet MK. It’s such a joy and a bit of a relief to finally have the album out there in the world. WAHOO!

Thank you for all the lovely feedback, we are stoked with how the album has been received. It feels good.

Our tour with The Cat Empire kick starts THIS Saturday night at the Amphitheatre as part of the Darwin Festival. All you NT crew come on down to dance under the stars with us! It will be a beautiful way to start the national tour. Darwin holds a special place in our hearts. To My Table Now Available

Greetings from fair Europa where we have just finished a run of shows with the awe-inspiring Gurrumul. WOW!

Thank you for having us fair Parisians, what an amazing time we had. Cafe de la Danse was such a gorgeous venue, so intimate and cosy and the audiences welcomed us so warmly. We felt privileged to share our music and stories (in English, peppered with the odd embarrassingly bad French phrases!) with such enthusiastic smiling faces. Merci beaucoup.

We lapped up the beautiful sights – not to mention the beautiful people! – and fell in love with the cafes, parks and cobble-stoned streets once again. Here’s hoping it won’t be too long before we return.
