I’m in the midst of pre-departure craziness, so I’ll be brief, but I did want to say farewell before I jet off for Mama Kin overseas adventures next week.
The 2010 whirlwind continues and this past month has been stacked full of great shows, (we have a WOMAD crush!) filming of a new video clip for the next single, To My Table, and plenty of plotting and scheming for the rest of the year as we steam towards the album release in July. (We have heaps of exciting news but we have to be super tight-lipped about it, so watch this space!)
We had a great couple of days filming, blessed with a wonderful team of film gurus who are as lovely as they are talented. I can’t wait to see the finished product and share it with you all.
The new single To My Table hits iTunes on April 14. And the clip will follow very soon.

This month we celebrated the announcement that Tore My Heart Out is a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition! So stoked. There is one day left to vote in The People’s Voice (the people’s choice award) and we’d love it if you could give us one last hurrah here
And, don’t forget to tune in to the ABC tomorrow night – Wednesday March 31 – for Spicks’n’Specks. My little cameo with funny woman Denise Scott, Ian Moss and Tommy Dean is about to see the light of day. Should be a laugh. I will be watching it from behind a pillow cringing my way through my first TV appearance!!! Urrrrgggh.
That’s all for now. I’m off to play with Gurrumul and The John Butler Trio next week. I cannot wait. If you have friends in London, Paris, Dublin or Southampton, tell them to track us down. The gig details are below and we’re looking forward to a hot run of shows.
