As I sit here on a bus in Philadelphia, in what seems like a distant world away from recent tour in Europe, I am starting to consider my movements for the next few months. All that happened in the world of Mama Kin happened really quickly, and with big thanks to the support and encouragement of the JBT… And so now I wonder.. What next? I know I want to play more gigs with Brother Michael, being on stage with him feels like home. I am planning to be in Australia from October onwards for a few months so I am thinking a nice blend of some small festivals, some house concerts (cos they keep me honest and still scare me to shakes) and maybe some support slots, if anyone will have me… Well that sounds cool! I am also mid way through writing a full length album, and I wanted to share one of those new tracks with you. It comes to you with thanks to Rachel Cato, who sat in on Piano Accordian with us on 3 shows while we were in Europe.. It was great to have another element on stage.. She is a gem and bought something very unique, festive and mysterious to the songs… And then to top it off she whipped out her old school mini disc recorder and captured the gig at The Den Atilier in Luxembourg.. Which was undoubtedly the best gig on the run. Great vibe. So the song is Tore My Heart Out, you will hear me ..s and Brother Michael on Cajon. You will have to put up with the rambunctious room, and our complete inability to re mix it, but there is a vibe!.. So it comes imperfect from me to all of you in gratitude for all the support and encouragement you have shown me in the last few months that I have dared to step forward. It has been a massive journey for me.. And I see these last months as the first tentative steps.So big thanks.Stay tuned.Big love.
