Hello there,

Just wanted to send a shout out to you all on a couple of fronts… Firstly thanks so much to all of you who joined  our mailing list while we were touring with The Waifs and Ani Di Franco.. Welcome! And Thanks heaps for your support..

Secondly.. Very excited about upcoming shows for East Coast Bluesfest and West Coast Blues and Roots and Festival.. So honoured to be on both of those bills.  

Can I just say that since I started writing this little email I have been interrupted 5 times for various requests…

   1. oldest child (6 yr old) requiring texta that works on white boards so she can play teachers
   2. youngest child (2) hungry, protesting offering of stone fruits
   3. oldest child requesting mediation in dealing with visiting friend in regards to sharing
   4. youngest child coming back to re open debate on stone fruit versus chocolate
   5. youngest child falling off skateboard while trying to ride through house… Why do I persist??

…because I have been wanting to write this message for so long and I am determined to get it out!!!

So where was I.. Yeah Bluesfest shows.. Can’t wait!! And then Brother Michael and I are going to start working on the Mama Kin album.  Which feels really exciting. Most of the songs are written but looking forward to capturing their vibe and building on them in the studio, and doing some co writing with Michael, so if you don’t see any gig action for a while, you know we are still busy hoping to release some fruit in the spring time.

Ok so back to you… reasons for writing this email..
Thirdly… I want to thank you so much for your action in getting me in the ranks of Triple J Unearthed.  Very flattered to see 3 of my little baby songs in the Unearthed Roots chart and my little Find Me clambering up the main charts!  I was out camping and came back to the world of web and saw that action! Most impressed.  If you want to throw any more votes my way here is the link!

So that is it.  So while things are quiet on the Western Front, I will bid you all adieu, and go play doctors and teachers and try and market some stone fruit to the unwilling!
