I cannot believe it’s February. As 2000 and ZEN speeds along outrageously quickly I wanted to stop, take stock and get excited about all the musical goodness on the horizon.
January blitzed by in a haze of amazing festivals, including Woodford (where we had our first ever crowd surfer!) and Peats Ridge (where the rain stopped LITERALLY two minutes before we took the stage), not to mention a few fun guest spots on TV and radio.
I sat in the chair for Sarah Howells as the guest hostie for Roots’n’All on Triple J – twas so good!! It was great to program the tunes and hang out with Brother Michael on air, keeping me on my musical toes as ever. Thanks to those of you who tuned in. I then filmed an episode of Spicks and Specks which was slightly nerve-wracking, but awesome. I somehow managed to answer a couple of questions to boot! Hell yeah! Will let you know when it goes to air.
Had beautiful time down in Denmark (WA) playing at the Winery and the Markets.. So gorgeous down that neck of the woods.
Now it’s all about hitting the road with the boys for a string of shows. And I can’t wait. First stop is Brisvegas with our friends Jackson Jackson (Feb 12) before we scoop down to Sydney (Feb 13) to headline the Raval with special guest Edoardo Santoni. Good news is that our first ever headline show in Sydney is SOLD OUT!!! We are completely chuffed.. And so we are announcing a second show.. Valentines Day styles… 14th Feb also at the Raval and with the incredible Edoardo Santoni supporting. Don’t miss out on this one! Get in early.
We’re then back up the northern coast with Tin Pan Orange before rocking into Melbourne for a Northcote Social Club matinee (Feb 21), supported by Liz Stringer.
It’s all systems go!
